Nvidia has quietly launched the Nvidia MX150 without even making a special announcement. This mobile GPU has been found in the specifications of the HP ENVY 13 Ultrabook and seeing how this is a mobile GPU clone of the GT 1030 you should not expect too much performance from the GPU. HP has revealed that it has 2 GB VRAM but that is all that we know at this point.
Seeing how this is an entry level GPU there is little that you will be able to pull off in terms of gaming. You might be able to play DOTA2 at moderate settings and get decent frames but that is pretty much all that you will be able to do with this laptop. With Computex right around the corner, you can expect to see these GPUs in many more devices.
Even though this is an entry-level GPU and you should expect little from it, there is no doubt in my mind that it will be able to perform better than the integrated graphics that Intel gives you out of the box. How better does the Nvidia MX150 perform as compared to the Intel integrated graphics? That is something that we will have to wait and see.
Let us know what you think about the Nvidia MX150 and whether or not this is something that you would be interested in.
