Deus Ex Mankind Divided launched last year with positive reception from critics. According to a report, another game is the franchise won’t release until Square Enix is done with the Avengers game but, it seems that Eidos Montreal is already working on a sequel if the rumour is to be believed.
The rumour comes from the latest episode of Podquisition, in which Jim Sterling again talked about the development of Deus Ex Mankind Divided’s sequel which was in development parallel to Mankind Divided. However, according to Sterling, some of the devs working on the sequel were pulled to work on Mankind Divided which slowed down the development of the sequel.
However, he added that he has heard that the development of the Deus Ex sequel is still in progress and is apparently in the works. It is important to mention that it is just a rumour so take is as a grain of salt until Square Enix officially announces the game.
Also, this is not the first time that an indication about the Mankind Divided sequel’s existence has emerged. Back in September 2016, an anonymous insider revealed that a sequel to Mankind Divided is in the works and the insider is supposedly a part of Eidos Montreal. According to the report, the production on the sequel began back in 2015.
