Report: Far Cry 5 Is Set In Present Day Montana, Antagonist Will Be A Religious Cultist
Ubisoft has officially confirmed the existence of the upcoming Far Cry, however, no details about the upcoming game have been revealed. But, that does not mean that no details about the upcoming Far Cry 5 will not get out as a report has made its way on the internet that reveals the game’s setting and more.
According to Redditor, FarCry5-throwaway, he has been part of the focus group that was chosen for the screening of the upcoming Far Cry 5. According to the report, the game is set in present day Montana and the protagonist will be taking on a religious cult.
According to the report, they showcased character profiles of the characters in-game, along with some promotional videos that showcased a “religious angle to the evil”. According to the report, no multiplayer for the game was showcased as the presentation was focused on the game’s single-player campaign. Furthermore, not much of the weapons were showcased except those we have already seen in Far Cry 3 and 4.
However, this partially falls in line with the recent rumor that the upcoming Far Cry will be set in a Spaghetti Western. The rumor apparently sprang up when someone spotted what appeared to be a live-action trailer being filmed at a church in Montana. It seems that the game might take place in a Western setting but will take place in present time.
What do you think of a Far Cry game set in Montana and the antagonist will be a religious cultist? Let us know in the comments.
