Bungie has promised to improve every aspect of Destiny in the upcoming sequel, Destiny 2. While the game has not released yet but Bungie has plans for Destiny 3. One of the main complaints by the gamers about the first game was that the zones were quite small given that the Destiny was advertised as an exploration based game.
While many have speculated that given that Destiny was also released for PS3 and Xbox 360, it might have been the reason for small zones. Well, now Bungie has no excuses as Destiny 2 will release for current gen consoles and PC and they are taking full advantage of it.
Bungie has already revealed that the European Dead Zone in Destiny 2 will be huge and will be a bigger zone compared to any other zones they have designed. However, speaking with Glixel, World Director Steve Cotton revealed that other zones like Io, Nessus, and Titan will not be as big as the European Dead Zone.
Also, the PC version of the game will not be launching alongside the consoles as Bungie has confirmed that the PC version will launch on a later date and the studio is still undecided on the release date. Furthermore, the PC version of the game is not being developed by Bungie. Instead, it is Vicarious Visions who is working on the PC version.
Destiny 2 is a first-person action shooter in development at Bungie and is scheduled to launch on September 8, 2017, for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and the PC version of the game will launch at a later date.
