Slightly Mad Studios, the developer behind the original Project Cars, has released the very first developer diary for Project Cars 2. Dubbed as “Built by Driver,” this developer diary discussed some of the details of the development process of the upcoming title.
Slightly Mad Studios is making “Built by Drivers” a monthly web series and the video above is the very first installment. Up until the release of Project Cars 2, this web video series will be our prime of development updates. According to the development studio:
This first episode shares a behind-the-scenes look at how McLaren’s Chris Goodwin and his team of engineers at McLaren Automotive are working directly with the Slightly Mad Studios team to contribute their knowledge of high-performance engineering into the development of the McLaren 720S supercar in the game. All this to ensure Project CARS 2 delivers an unparalleled driving simulation experience. We’ll share more “Built by Drivers” videos in the months leading to launch
Project Cars 2 is releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC sometime later this year. Developers are working hard to bring the game to PlayStation 4 Pro as well as Project Scorpio. According to Slightly Mad Studios, although they are working both versions they are not ready to talk about it just. However, they did share some details with us regarding Project Cars 2 VR.
With PSVR we can’t confirm that it’s definitely coming, but our team are hard at work on it. The reason I can’t confirm that it’s definitely going to come out is because there’s a lot of work required to get the game running to our standards.
