Marvel vs Capcom Infinite Comic Covers May Reveal Hidden Content
In another promotional campaign, Marvel vs Capcom Infinite will grace the covers of twenty of the most popular comic books in the market right now.
According to Marvel, each of the unique variants will show off the game from a different perspective. They will feature characters from the current roster, as well as characters that helped inspire the development team.
While not hinted, it is entirely possible that one of those comic book covers will tease the inclusion of characters that have yet to be announced. The fighting game community has a long list of favorite characters from the Marvel Universe that have so far been left out of the game. Considering that the covers will arrive a month before the official release of Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, it would be a valuable opportunity to create extra hype by placing a few of those unannounced characters in the background.
“Fight fans, if you can’t wait until September 19th to see heroes from two awesome universes collide in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, we’re bringing you a sneak peek one month earlier when the battle explodes onto the covers of your favorite comics,” said executive creative director Bill Rosemann. “The game makers at Capcom and Marvel are working closely with a team of the industry’s top talent to deliver all the over the top intensity you’ve come to expect from this fan favorite franchise.”
The following are the variant covers slated for August:
- All-New Guardians of the Galaxy #7
- Amazing Spider-Man #31
