Report: Destiny 2 Will Support Cross-Saves Between PC And PS4
Destiny 2 gameplay reveal is just around the corner and the hype for the game is increasing with every passing moment. As the gameplay reveal is getting closer, Bungie has been revealing new details about the upcoming game and now a new rumor has made its way on the internet suggesting the game will support cross saves.
The rumor comes from the NeGaf user, ThatsMytrunks. The user claims that he has heard from the people who have played the game that Destiny 2 will support cross saves between PC and PlayStation 4. Meaning if this feature is truly in the game then if one player stops playing on PS4 mid-adventure will be able to play it on PC right where the player left off on the PS4.
The report also suggests that the game will run at 60 frames per second but does not specifies the platform, might be for the PS4 version. Also, it is important to note that Bungie is yet to officially reveal anything about the cross saves feature for Destiny 2, so take it as a grain of salt.
Destiny 2 will also be available for PC unlike the first game, however, many gamers are skeptical that the PC version of the game will not be up to par with the console version. But, Activision has assured that the PC version of Destiny sequel will have meaningful features and will not simply be a port.
Also, During the recent post-earnings conference call, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg acknowledged that the main issue with Destiny was that it could not keep up a steady stream of content to keep up with the player’s demand and reiterated that Destiny sequel will have a steady stream of content.
Destiny’s engagement has been the best in Activision’s history. We now have a lot of confidence that we’re going to be able to keep up with demand with that steady stream of content and sort of keep pace with our players’ engagement post-release of Destiny 2. As you know, with Destiny 2’s content, we’re coupling Bungie’s great visionary leadership with multiple AAA developers that have a proven track record here at Activision to help us make sure we have just one great piece of content after another to keep the community engaged.
Destiny 2 is a first-person action shooter in development at Bungie and is scheduled to launch on 8 Septemeber 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
