Ubisoft seems to be upping its game for its game releases. Just recently, the studio teased the upcoming Far Cry 5 and The Crew 2. Now, the studio has revealed its plans for future titles and revealed that 4 AAA titles will launch in the fiscal year 2018-2019 and one of them will be a new IP.
During the recent earnings call, Ubisoft revealed that the past fiscal year has been very good for the company financially and also shared its plans for its fiscal year 2018-2019. According to the company, the fiscal year 2018-2019 will see “the release of four AAA titles with three established franchises and a new brand”.
However, Ubisoft did not provide any solid details about the new IP except that it will be a multiplayer-focused game. This is line with the company’s recent releases which are always online including The Division and For Honor.
Ubisoft has also teased the upcoming Assassin’s Creed title which the studio confirmed will launch by March 2018. The official Facebook page of Assassin’s Creed franchise has teased the upcoming Assassin’s Creed title with a new image and is asking the fans to stay tuned for more info about the game as it will be revealed soon.
The image that Ubisoft used to tease the upcoming Assassin’s Creed title does not give much about the game except for the Assassin’s logo. So we will have to wait until Ubisoft reveals new info about the game.
Nothing officially has been revealed about the game except for some rumors that suggest the game will be set in Egypt and players will able to play as Altair’s ancestor. Also, recently a screenshot for the game leaked which sort of confirmed that the game will be set in Egypt.
Do you think the company will be able to re-invent the Assassin’s Creed franchise? Let us know in the comments.
