Injustice 2 Players Are Being Decimated by Deadshot With a Single Move

It has just been a single day since the official release of Injustice 2 but the community has already pointed out a sore thumb in the form of Deadshot.

The assassin for hire is designed as a projectile-heavy character that uses an arsenal of weapons to zone out opponents and keep punishing them at range. The problem is that Deadshot is too difficult to approach when he begins spamming his wrist cannon from the other side of the screen.

Recall the Full Auto variation of Jacqui Briggs from Mortal Kombat X and how players would endlessly fire her machine gun from afar. It would give almost no window of opportunity for opponents to retaliate. However, with time certain characters with teleport abilities or other gap closing special moves began putting a stop to that spam.

Since Injustice 2 was just released, it will take time for the fighting game community to realize potential counters to Deadshot. Currently, he is enjoying himself by firing a barrage of incendiary ammunition to keep his targets stationary at range.

Dominique “SonicFox” Mclean, the most dominant and successful professional player of Mortal Kombat X, has jumped over to Injustice 2. While he picked up multiple characters during the beta period, he is currently ranking up quite easily by using the spam-heavy Deadshot.

A compilation of his matches from last night can be seen below. It is evident that zoning characters are incredibly strong in Injustice 2 right now. NetherRealm Studios is not known to release balance patches so close to release. Hence, there is little use for players to call out the developer to nerf the character.

Deadshot is already a capable character in the roster. In the hands of a professional player, he is seemingly unstoppable. If you have a viable counter in mind, so share in the comments below. In the mean time, there are likely a lot of frustrated and salty players queuing up right now.

For those interested, here is a little handy guide to his list of moves and combos.

Injustice 2 is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
