Need for Speed has been around for a long time and over the years we have seen some really amazing characters. While most of them are men, there have been some really bad-ass female characters who were simply amazing.
Need for Speed franchise is made up of great characters, story, and gameplay. However, for a while, EA missed the plot and released sub-par titles that couldn’t hit the mark. With the upcoming announcement for Need for Speed 2017 at EA PLAY, we think it is time to look back at some strong female characters that graced the franchise.
Robyn made an appearance in Need for Speed 2015 and is one of the characters you are introduced to early on in the game. She is at the helm of your Crew missions. Robyn drives a BMW M3 E46 (2006) and was a respected member of Travis’ crew.
Tri-City Bay Police Agent Chase Linh is one of the main characters in Need for Speed: Undercover. She was the source of constant motivation to lead the player to victory but a major twist in the story reveals just how deep the character was and she had her secrets that would leave the player in a tough spot.
Amy appeared in Need for Speed 2015 and was part of Travis’ crew. She drove a Nissan 180SX Type-X (1996) and had exceptional skills as a mechanic. She owns her garage and allows racers to come get their cars customized from one of the best in town.
Isabel Diaz was better known as “Izzy,” she appeared in Need for Speed: Most Wanted. She was not a girl you would want to mess with and wasn’t afraid to get some grease under her nails. She knew everything there is to know about cars and was a fierce opponent on the racing track with her Mazda RX-8.
Jade Barrett was better known as “Jewels” and she made her only Need for Speed appearance in Need for Speed: Most Wanted. She was the eighth Blacklist racer and drove a Ford Mustang GT. She was sweet but on the race track, she turned into a completely different person which was evident from her #8 position on the Blacklist.
Kira Nakazato was better known as “Kaze and is another memorable character from Need for Speed: Most Wanted. She was one of the antagonists from the game and was #7 on the Blacklist. She had anger management issues and what she couldn’t do with skill, she did with speed thanks to a Mercedes-Benz CLK 500.
With an above average IQ and a graduation degree from Stanford University with honors before her criminal career, she is a badass character from Need for Speed: Undercover. She drove a red/black Porsche 911 GT2 and was affiliated with Rachel Teller.
The most badass female character to ever appear in Need for Speed is Mia. She appeared in Need for Speed: Most Wanted and was an undercover cop. She is helping the player throughout the game, offering tips to do better. She wanted Razor off the streets and was willing to go to any length. She drove a Mazda RX-8 and was responsible for hurting the Blacklist from the inside.
