Developer Psyonix has been expanding its widely popular game, Rocket League, with continuous updates that bring fixes and new content. Now the studio has announced that Rocket League Update 1.34 will roll out this Wednesday which will bring back Neo Tokyo that player has been requesting a lot to return.
Neo Tokyo included in the Rocket League Update 1.34 has been redesigned as a Standard Arena and the studio noted that the team decided to keep its futuristic look. As for the original Neo Tokyo, it is not going anywhere, but it has been renamed Tokyo Underpass and will only be available in offline or private matches for now.
Furthermore, the studio has announced the “Mantis” which will be next Battle-Car. This Battle-Car will be fully customizable and will be available with six new decals for players to choose from. The update will be live 3 PM PDT/6 PM EDT on Wednesday.
In related new, Psyonix has partnered with Tencent to bring the Rocket League Free-To-Play to China. The partnership was announced during Tencent’s UP 2017 press conference and the two firms will work on a new version of Rocket League for Chinese gamers.
The main and the obvious difference in the game is that it will be free-to-play. While the game will be free-to-play, players will presumably have to purchase the aesthetic customizations for the vehicles.
Rocket League is a vehicular soccer video game developed by Psyonix for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
