A number of new Knack 2 screenshots have been shown off by Sony before E3 2017 begins, showing off some of the stuff that we’ll be dealing with when the game comes out sometime later this year. Knack 2 is the sequel to Knack, a launch title for the Playstation 4 back in 2013.
Knack told the story of a robot (the titular Knack) who was able to grow and shrink his size by using the “relics” that formed his body. In the first game, Knack set out on a journey to stop the possibility of a war between factions of humans and goblins.
The game got mixed reviews, with people praising its concepts and the ideas it brought but criticizing the story. Knack 2, when it releases, will hopefully have taken those criticisms to heart and made the sequel better in every way.
The new Knack 2 screenshots appear to show a world much like the first one, bright and colorful with a lot of beautiful environments. It also shows off some of the combat in a variety of sizes, and even that you’ll be able to play the game via what looks like co-op. The screenshots also show that the game will contain platforming sections like the original game.
Knack 2 was originally announced back in December at the Playstation Experience event, where it got a trailer that showed off some of the stuff the game would have. While we haven’t gotten any indication as to a story, what we can see from the screenshots shows that there’s going to be plenty of action in the game.
Until the game comes out, though, you can look at the new Knack 2 screenshots further up the article. The game will be coming out on exclusively on the Playstation 4 and Playstation 4 Pro sometime this year, whenever Sony releases it.
