Assassin’s Creed: Empire, the rumored Ubisoft game set in Egypt, will feature two playable characters. After being on hiatus for two years, Assassin’s Creed is rumored to return this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. According to the rumors surrounding the game, it is set in Egypt.
A recent leak claims that Assassin’s Creed Egypt aka Assassin’s Creed: Empire will feature two playable characters, similar to Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. The main characters will be played by a male and a female, again similar to Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate where we played as Evie and Jacob Frye. The main storyline, on the other hand, follows the original Assassin’s guild and we may be playing as an ancestor to Altair.
Needless to say, such information should be taken with a grain of salt as they have been proven false before. Some recently leaked screenshots were confirmed to be fake by the developer of Assassin’s Creed: Empire. However, as for the setting, Kotaku’s Jason Schreier cited sources confirming Egypt.
Recently a couple of foreign retailers have listed Assassin’s Creed: Empire for sale from October-November 2017. The game is expected for release on Play Station 4, Xbox One and PC but no Nintendo Switch version is under development.
However, Ubisoft is supporting Nintendo Switch with other projects such as Just Dance, Rayman Legends, and Steep. Other titles are expected to be shown at E3 2017.
Do you think Assassin’s Creed: Empire is going to feature two playable characters? Would you like to see two playable characters?
