The community will be incredibly happy to know that there is another Battlefield 1 night map in the pipelines, which will officially release this summer.
Prise de Tahure is set after the historical invasion of the Western Front in the first World War, with French troops desperately holding their ground in the Butte-de-Tahure region against advancing German forces. The constant skirmishes within muddy trenches take place in the autumn, under the moonlight and glow of gunfire.
“This is a war of attrition,” reads the description. “Adaptability and tactics are the means to wear your adversary down.”
Nivelle Nights was announced last month as the first Battlefield 1 night map. It is set in the French town of Chemin des Dames, pitting players against each other in the trenches near the destroyed battlements and villages of Malmaison and Soupir.
After undergoing several changes based on collective feedback, Nivelle Nights is finally scheduled to release in June. Prise de Tahure will arrive on the Community Test Environment (CTE) soon, and likely release close to the upcoming expansion pack.
Take note that Nivelle Nights will release for premium pass owners. There is no confirmation as to whether the Battlefield 1 night map will be released later on for everyone else as well.
The developer also announced that it would be unveiling In the Name of the Tsar, the second expansion pack of the game, at its annual EA Play 2017 event on June 10. Attendees will be able to play the new content while those at home must wait until “late summer” to get access.
As previously revealed, In the Name of the Tsar will introduce the Russian army in Battlefield 1. Players will experience the “brutality of combat” and the “bitter cold” of the Easter Front. As always, there will be new weapons and offensive options for everyone to arm themselves with.
