Back in February, when Middle-earth: Shadow of War was announced, Monolith and Warner Bros didn’t wait very long before putting up the game’s PC requirements. The Darksiders 3 PC requirements seem to be following that path, having already been revealed at least a year early, as the game won’t come out until 2018.
Darksiders 3 is the long-awaited new game in the Darksiders series, which had its future put in doubt when THQ went under, and Vigil Games went with it, closing down in 2013. Now Gunfire Games is developing the game, and THQ Nordic is giving the series’s PC fans plenty of time to get ready for the PC version. The Darksiders 3 PC requirements are as follows:
OS: Windows 7 / 8 / 10 64 bit
Processor: Intel Core i5-2400, AMD FX-6100, or better
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: Recent Shader Model 5 GPU with 2 GB VRAM
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 15 GB available space
Additional Notes: These are preliminary system specs that can and will change!
As you can see from the additional notes in the requirements, these aren’t final; it’s possible, and even likely, that these requirements will change over the course of the game’s development. Especially since they’re being put out this early.
While Middle-earth: Shadow of War launched its PC requirements pretty quickly after being revealed, that’s also because the game is planning on releasing on August 22, around four months away. The Darksiders 3 PC requirements, however, have been released at least a year before the game is scheduled to release.
Another interesting thing about the Darksiders 3 PC requirements is that they’re actually fairly low; a lot of them being well within the reach of a computer, especially in 2018. While these are subject to change, it seems like THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games are setting the bar pretty low.
Either way, if the requirements do change, we’ll likely get some word of it. Darksiders 3 comes out for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
