After much teasing and revealing screenshots for the game, Bandai Namco has finally revealed the first trailer for its upcoming game, Code Vein. The game is currently being developed by God Eater developers and will take advantage of Epic’s Unreal Engine 4.
The trailer for Code Vein showcases the end of the world and there are not many humans as there used to be. The game will take place in a distant future where a mysterious disaster has caused the collapse of the world. The buildings that once were full of life are nothing more than a grave.
In the not too distant future, a mysterious disaster has brought collapse to the world, as we know it. Towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves of humanity’s past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment. At the center of the destruction lies a hidden society of Revenants called Vein. This final stronghold is where the remaining few fight to survive, blessed with Gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood. Give into the bloodlust fully and risk becoming one of the Lost, fiendish ghouls devoid of any remaining humanity.
CODE VEIN is a third-person action RPG that will let players take the role of the Revenants. Bandai Namco is yet to announce the release date and the platforms for which the game is to be released.
