AMD Ryzen has been out for some time. Though it is very competitive and AMD has got the upper hand when it comes to core count compared to price, we have not seen many pre-built systems powered by AMD Ryzen. Here we have the Acer Aspire GX281 which has been announced and it is powered by AMD Ryzen.
Acer Aspire GX281 comes in a couple of configurations and you can choose the AMD Ryzen CPU that you want, depending on what you are planning to do with your PC. If you are planning to play games then you could opt for the 4 core versions. If you are going to be doing some content creation then you can opt for the 8 core, 16 thread version.
The Acer Aspire GX281 is a great option if you do not want to build your own PC and want to get a pre-built AMD Ryzen powered computer. The Acer Aspire GX281 has the following features and they are quite beefy:
- B350 motherboard
- Up to 64GB DDR4-2400 memory
- Up to GTX 1070 / AMD RX 480 graphics
- Up to 3TB HDD
- 256GB M.2 SSD
- Dual-band Wi- Fi
- Windows 10 Home Edition System
Price and availability have not been revealed yet but looking at how the system has been introduced, further details should not be far off. This seems like the first wave and other partners will also join in on the action. You can expect systems from Dell, HP and Lenovo in the near future.
AMD Ryzen powered systems are cost effective, to say the least, and with AMD Vega around the corner expect to see all AMD systems as well. Things should get interesting in the upcoming weeks.
Let us know what you think about the Acer Aspire GX281 and whether or not you are interested in buying an AMD Ryzen powered pre-built system like this one.
