Prey is just over a week away from launch and gamers are eager to get their hands on the game. With Arkane Studios revealing new trailer detailing the game’s setting and more, the hype for the game is quite high. While the game has not even released yet and Arkane has confirmed post-launch DLC for Prey.
Speaking with AListDaily, Creative Director Raphael Colantonio talked about the game’s longevity and confirmed that Prey will have post-launch DLC. However, he added that Arkane Studios has no plans to announce yet but said that the development team is “absolutely” working on post-launch DLC along with post-launch updates.
During the same interview, he revealed that players will have to play Prey multiple times in order to unlock all the powers. This combined with branching storyline adds to the replayability of the game.
Arakne Studios is also the studio that developed Dishonored 2, so obviously, there are some elements from the dishonored that will be featured in upcoming Prey, like multiple endings. According to lead designer Ricardo Bare, the game will have multiple endings and it will all depend on the players’ choice regarding the space station and the characters that are still alive. However, there will be two main endings, the rest will be variations of these two.
Also, the studio has revealed that the game’s vision is bigger than the development team itself. According to Arkane’s Lead System Designer, Seth Shain, the sheer scope and audacity of the game is bigger than the development team.
Prey is an upcoming first-person action-adventure game in development at Arkane Studios and is scheduled to launch on May 5, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
