Activision has shared Call of Duty: WWII reveal trailer with us. The 2 min long trailer features in-game footage and gives a brief look into the main story campaign of the new Call of Duty. Sledgehammer hosted a live stream to discuss a host of different features and details about Call of Duty: WWII including a multiplayer hub, zombies mode and more.
The footage was intense and it was probably hard to take in some of the details the first time. Let’s break down the trailer and see what we can figure out about Call of Duty: WWII. First things first, the plot! Call of Duty: WWII, as the name suggests, is based in World War 2. Players will be playing as Ronald, a 19 years old from Texas who just joined the “bloody first.”
The first image we see is from the opening scene which shows that the footage is in-game. It is to be noted that “in-game” means in-engine. Call of Duty games do not use CGI for its cut-scenes which means the graphics we see in the footage as a roughly close representation of actual gameplay.
Moving on, Call of Duty has been shying away from gore and violence but it looks like the PG era for COD is over. Gore and violence are back in the lime with the next entry, here are a couple of examples. The first image shows a brutal headshot while the second image shows bloody bodies all over the place.
Classic executions are coming back! Yes, Call of Duty: WWII will bring back the classic first person execution of a lead role. The premise of WWII is brotherhood and friendships, and how a man loses both in the middle of war. The feeling of lose is dropped like a bombshell on many occasions in previous COD games with ally executions. The image below shows the moments before an enemy is ready to execute an ally or it could be Ronald?
Tank vs Planes and Infantry vs Planes battles will take center stage in the new game. This is historically accurate as such battles dominated the World War 2.
Well, that is all we have for Call of Duty: WWII reveals trailer breakdown. The game is releasing on November 3 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
