A Call of Duty: WWII Zombies mode has been confirmed by Sledgehammer Games and Activision today. This will make WWII the latest Call of Duty game that will be including a zombies mode, and the second main game from Sledgehammer to do so. Cooperative play will also be included in the mode.
Nazi Zombies has been a part of the Call of Duty franchise ever since the mode first made its appearance in Call of Duty: World at War back in 2008. Since then it’s become one of the main reasons that people buy the games, and each DLC map pack has at least one zombie map in it.
The Call of Duty: WWII Zombies mode will be set during World War II, rather than the future or Cold War like previous Zombie modes (barring Black Ops 3 and Advanced Warfare, which took place in the future), and promises adrenaline-pumping action.
Nazi Zombies will likely include the requisites: the Mystery Box, which can give you any weapon, vending machines to help power you up, an obtuse storyline to try and add some plot to it, and a number of maps that help to spice up the gameplay somewhat.
We can expect more information on the Call of Duty: WW2 Zombies mode sometime at a later date, but many Call of Duty fans might have just heard all they needed to hear if they just wanted to play Nazi Zombies.
Also included in the announcement for the Nazi Zombies mode was the reveal of three different editions for the game: the Base Edition which included the game, the Digital Deluxe Edition which included the season pass and “more”, and the Pro Edition, which we’ve already covered.
The Season Pass content for the game won’t be arriving until 2018, since the game will be releasing on November 3, but Call of Duty: WWII will be coming out for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
