The PlayStation 4 version of Red Dead Redemption 2 is no longer available to pre-order from Amazon. The game is sold out and from what we understand the retailer won’t be getting any more copies. According to Amazon, the retailer has reached the limit of its assigned quota for Red Dead Redemptions 2.
Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced recently by Rockstar and such a response in sales was expected. Details are scarce but Take-Two is hosting investors meeting next month where Red Dead might be discussed. For now, what we do know about the game is that it will feature an emotional depth, according to Take-Two CEO.
The conventional wisdom was of course that a western wouldn’t work. We took a different point of view, which is that very occasionally westerns capture the imagination of the public. When we launched Red Dead, it did. And those times were right for that. And I think the times are right for a big, sprawling, optimistic view of America again–and that’s not meant to be cute.
He also added that there are going to be great gameplay elements as well. On top of that, there are multiple protagonists this time around, similar to Grand Theft Auto V. This one element is yet to be confirmed but a number of different rumors point to the same thing. Red Dead Redemption 2 has been in development since 2014 and the final product, if not delayed, will release in Fall 2017. PC version of the title is rumored but analyst are ruling out a Nintendo Switch version of Rockstar’s upcoming masterpiece.
