Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Developer Working a Remake, But Which One?
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection developer, Bluepoint Games is working on a new remake of a classic game. According to a job listing on the studio’s official website, as well as the Linkedin Profile of one of the developers, the studio is in the middle of remaking a classic.
BluePoint Games developed a number of remasters for Sony Interactive Entertainment. The developer worked on games like God of War Collection, ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Flower, Gravity Rush Remastered, Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection successfully. The list of games Bluepoint worked on is pretty impressive but what are they working on now? Whatever this game is, it has been in development for almost a year as a similar listing was spotted last year as well.
With roots in original development, our team has remastered award-winning PS2, PS3 and Xbox 360 classics in high(er) definition for leading consoles (God of War Collection, ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Flower, Gravity Rush Remastered, Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection). We also provided our expertise to co-development efforts on Sony’s PlayStation All-Stars (developed on the Bluepoint Engine) and Respawn’s Titanfall.
We are passionately at work remaking a classic for current-gen game systems, growing our capabilities as a team and raising the bar for what fans anticipate from us.
Sony’s E3 2017 lineup includes games like Death Stranding, God of War, The Last of Us Part 2 and more. Bluepoint’s remake of a classic, if it is for Sony, should be somewhere at E3. Bluepoint’s Twitter is dead since March 2015, meanwhile, the developer who posted on LinkedIn hasn’t Tweeted since January.
