Devs Explain Gear System For Shadow Of War In This New Video
Monolith Production has been quite active revealing new details and aspects of its upcoming game, Shadow Of War. Just recently, the devs detailed the skill trees for the game, this time the studio have released a new video detailing its Gear System, set bonuses and more.
It is pretty evident that Monolith intends to add more to what Shadow Of Mordor offered, along with its improved Nemesis System, bigger world, and more varying enemies. Shadow Of War will feature an extensive gear system, using which players will be able to equip different kinds of swords, daggers, and armor to bolster his base stats.
The Weapons will have different tiers which will allow players to collect weapons with special abilities. As explained in the video, players can equip a dagger that has a small chance to set the enemy on fire when hit by the dagger. All of this indicates that Monolith Productions is making sure that Shadow War will feature as much RPG mechanics as possible.
Shadow Of Mordor was a critical and commercial success, however, not all gamers picked it up partly due to it being a new IP. But, Monolith Productions is quite confident about its sequel and are making sure that for those who did not play the first one, Shadow Of War will be an entry point for them.
It’s really important for us that this is a point of entry. This is sort of the bigger blockbuster version of the game, so if you haven’t played Shadow and you start playing this one, it should be pretty easy to get into. Even if you don’t have prior knowledge of the movies.
Shadow Of War is an open-world action adventure game in development at Monolith Productions and is scheduled to launch on August 22, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
