Creative Assembly is now down with Halo Wars 2 and ready to move on to something different. According to the latest rumor, the studio is working on a sequel to 2014’s Alien Isolation. The official PlayStation Magazine cited insider sources to base its Alien Isolation 2 rumors on, Creative Assembly is yet to confirm the details.
“Our sources tell us that after work is finished on Halo Wars 2, a new Alien game may start development over at Alien Isolation dev Creative Assembly,” said the PlayStation Magazine. Alien Isolation is one of the best horror games to release generation and received shining reviews from many.
Developers supported the game with post-release content for a while. Developer Creative Assembly recently acquired Crytek Black Sea, now named Creative Assembly Sofia. It is likely that the new game is currently in development at this newly acquired studio.
The original game left its mark on the horror genre and the community that loves Alien games. Creative Assembly developing the next game means a possible announcement might be on the cards at E3 2017. It is too soon to tell but we can expect something of that nature in June.
Creative Assembly helped with Halo Wars 2 development, working with Microsoft Studios. The development team is now free while Microsoft is working on the DLC for Halo Wars 2. The DLC will arrive on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs.
