Call of Duty: WWII “Private Beta” Tied to Pre-Order, Has BO3 Like Co-Op, and Standalone Story
Call of Duty: WWII was announced earlier with minimum amount of details. However, we are starting to get more information via unofficial sources. Sources that leaked a WWII setting for this year’s COD, have now shared details regarding its setting, gameplay, and story.
Call of Duty: WWII “Private Beta” will be hosted by Activision but open sign-ups might not be on the cards. Instead, similar to Star Wars Battlefront 2, entering the beta is tied to pre-ordering. Players who pre-order Call of Duty: WWII will have access to the “Private Beta” for the game.
Possibly, the beta might be timed exclusive to PlayStation 4 systems. Sony now has an exclusive deal with Activision which allowed PlayStation users to not only have timed exclusive DLC but also, they had timed exclusive beta access last year for Infinite Warfare.
Moving on, 2 years ago Treyarch released its Black Ops 3, which is one of the most popular COD games to date. The game featured a co-op story campaign and the feature is returning for Call of Duty: WWII. Whether it is 2 or 4 player co-op remains to be seen.
Call of Duty: WWII will also feature the battle of Normandy, according to the leak. The story is going to be completly standalone which means it would have a proper start, middle, and end without any cliffhangers. This is one problem with World War settings as the storyline is difficult to produce sequels for.
