Star Wars Battlefront 2 Deluxe Edition Comes With Nothing, $20 Extra for Early Access Only

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Deluxe Edition costs $79.99 and allows players to have access to upgrade packs, The Jedi Heroes and 3-days early access to the game. However, each element that is a part of the Deluxe Edition, apart from early access, can be earned via playing the game and slightly grinding. While this may be good news for buyers of the standard edition, others may not be too happy paying $20 extra just for 3-days early access.

The Deluxe Edition includes Star Wars Battlefront 2: The Last Jedi Heroes, Play Star Wars Battlefront II early, Elite Officer Upgrade Pack, Heavy Metal Upgrade Pack, Armored Assault Upgrade Pack, and Master Specialist Upgrade Pack.

According to a Tweet from Battlefront 2 Game Designer Christian Johannesen, content of the deluxe edition can be unlock by playing the game. Star Wars Battlefront 2 Deluxe Edition items are not exclusive in any way. The tweet confirms that players are paying $20 just unlock a few items early along with 3-days early access to the game.

For those who don’t know, Battlefront 2 early access is also available to EA Access members for $10 a month.

At this point, accessing Battlefront 2 early via EA Access/Origin Access seems like a better deal as Access comes with a host of other perks as well. There is no season pass for the game this time around which makes Deluxe Edition a bad deal. EA Access will allow players to have access to the game for 10 hours – both Single and multiplayer modes will be accessible.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this November. EA will show more of the game next month, May 15. What do you think of the Deluxe Edition content? Do let us know in the comments below.
