Report: Legend Of Zelda Series Generated $1.4 Billion In Revenue In The US

Legend Of Zelda series is one of long-running game franchises in the game industry and Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild has taken the series to new heights. Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild sold more than Nintendo Switch, however, the overall series has brought in over $1.4 Billion in the US since its inception.

According to the data from NPD Group, who tracked the software sales for Legend Of Zelda series since its inception in 1995, the Legend Of Zelda series has brought in $1.4 Billion in revenue in the US. Furthermore, the series has 54% more software sales compared to the Resident Evil franchise in the US.

Legend Of Zelda series has a very interesting player base, and with Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild, players are challenging themselves with self-imposed tasks. Just recently, one player defeated two of the hardest bosses without taking any damage in Legend Of Zelda Breath Of the Wild.

Lynel is a centaur-like creature that rivals any Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild boss as the game’s hardest challenge. However, one player has managed to defeat two Lynels at the same time and without taking damage. Also, the player did not use any cheats to achieve it.

However, this is not the only example players completing self-imposed tasks, as one player completed a speedrun of the game in just 45 minutes. The player completed the game in record time through one newly discovered trick which is using the German language. Using the German language gets players out of the opening sequence much faster.

Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild is an open-world action adventure game developed by Nintendo exclusively for Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
