Evil Geniuses Partners With SteelSeries for New Line of Branded Peripherals

Evil Geniuses, one of the oldest North American esports organizations, is the latest to get its own line of branded peripherals.

SteelSeries has been sponsoring Evil Geniuses for over two years now, but this is the first time that the popular peripheral manufacturer has collaborated with the team to develop “tournament ready” gaming equipment.

“For years, we’ve been an exclusive partner of Evil Geniuses to test and improve our tournament-ready products,” reads an announcement by SteelSeries. “Now, one of the most winning teams in the world has put their mark of approval on a SteelSeries line of professional peripherals.”

The lineup features some of the most popular items from SteelSeries, bearing the trademark and colors of the Evil Geniuses brand. There is the Apex M500 mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX switches (€119.99), Rival 300 mouse with an optical sensor and RGB illumination (€69.99), QcK+ cloth mouse pad with a non-slip rubber base (€19.99), and headbands for the Arctis 3 and 5 headsets (€14.99).

To commemorate the occasion, SteelSeries released a short commercial that features the Dota 2 squad of Evil Geniuses. The official website of the peripherals also centers around Syed “Suma1L” Hassan, the young star of the roster.

The announcement of the new line of branded peripherals from SteelSeries is not surprising since the team members already confirmed last year of receiving early prototypes of the Rival 300 for feedback.
