Following a short teaser from Bandai Namco with a tagline “Prepare To Dine”, Bandai Namco has finally revealed the game, Code Vein, a dungeon-exploring action RPG.
Bandai Namco revealed the game in the latest issue of Famitsu(via Siliconera). According to Namco, the game is a completely new title in which players can take on the role of “Revenants”, Vampires with supernatural abilities, and team up with allies to reveal the truth.
The Revenants are a part of an isolated company called “Vein” that helps them to survive. Revenants are transcended human beings but have lost their memories. When their lust of blood becomes too much they transform into monsters called “Lost.”
The game will also feature a “Buddy” system that will allow you to take one partner with you while exploring dungeons.
The game is being developed On Unreal Engine 4 and is being developed by God Eater devs. According to the devs, “Vein” is the name of the closed world that players will be exploring in Code Vein.
According to the developers, the development on Code Vein is 35% complete and a trailer for the game will be revealed in near future. Code Vein is expected to launch in 2018 and no platforms have been announced.
