Fans of video game collectibles can rejoice as soon they will be able to add Star Wars Battlefront 2 figure to their collection.
Barely two days since the official reveal trailer for the game, the information regarding the upcoming FPS from EA has been flooding in and this latest news for collectors is just part of that flood.
The Star Wars Battlefront 2 figure features a member of the Inferno Squadron of Imperial pilots. The Inferno Squadron will be playing a major role in the game since the main character of the game, Iden Versio, is the commander of these elite pilots.
Unfortunately, there is a bit of sad news with this announcement. The Star Wars Battlefront 2 figure, made by Hasbro as part of its Black series, will be available exclusively on GameStop.
So if some Star Wars fan lives in a country where GameStop services aren’t available, they will be unable to add this figure to their collection.
From the image shared, the 6-inch tall Inferno Squadron pilot seems to be pretty highly detailed and well worth the price of $23, although it seems to be lacking in articulation compared to some of the other Star Wars figures out there.
The figure is slated to launch in Fall 2017, around the same time as the game’s November 17th release.
While this may be the first figure announced for the upcoming shooter, it is highly unlikely that this will be the only one. Other companies such as MacFarlane Toys, which recently did a Mass Effect Andromeda figure, will undoubtedly jump on the opportunity to launch their new Star Wars products.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 will once again be developed by EA Dice on Frostbite 3 engine, with help from Motive Studios and Criterion Games.
In an effort to fix relations with fans after 2015’s Battlefront, EA has decided to forego the Season Pass this time which will probably mean everyone gets access to new maps for free.
