Let’s talk about how the Xbox Scorpio will deal with screen tearing problems.
We all know how irritating screen tearing can be. It is something that high-end PC gamers experience and it is something that can easily break immersion. If you think about it TVs have fixed refresh rates and these can bounce around.
This means that there will be pixels fighting for screen space and that will result in screen tearing. So what is Microsoft doing to get rid of the problem?
We know that Nvidia has G-Sync and AMD has FreeSync in order to take care of the problem. Xbox Scorpio will be using variable refresh rates in order to deal with screen tearing.
The device already uses AMD hardware so it will not be a problem.
Taking a step further, Microsoft is also working with multiple TV makers in order to ensure that screen tearing is experienced by as few people as possible. We can see how much work is being put into the development of Xbox Scorpio and it is for good reason as a lot rides on the success of this console.
PS4 has outshined Xbox for far too long now and this could be the time Microsoft takes the lead once and for all, even though it might not seem like that to most. Analysts have been making their predictions lately and they seem to be in favor of the upcoming console.
One of the things that will play an important role in the success of the console is the library of new games that will be available at launch along with exclusives that will be coming out later this year.
