Prey is less than a month away from launch and gamers are excited about the game. Now the file size for the game has been revealed.
The file size for Prey is a total of 36.51 GB for Xbox One, which is quite reasonable given that games nowadays have install size of 45-50 GB usually.
Recently, Arkane’s Lead System Designer, Seth Shain, talked about Prey and how the game’s vision is bigger than the development team itself. According to Shain, the sheer scope and audacity of the game is bigger than the development team.
The scope of it, the audacity of it, the hubris of it. I think we’ve made a game that is bigger than the team that we have and I think we are pulling it off. I’m thrilled with how this game has come out.
The sheer audacity of what we have dared to build in this game, it’s a little bit mind-boggling to me. The fact that we were able to stuff it all into this package called Prey is kind of amazing; it’s a testament to the team and the passion of the developers we have here. Everybody shared in this vision and really wanted to see this thing through the end.
Also, Arkane Studios has confirmed that Prey will not feature any boss fights because how the AI works, the normal enemies [Telepaths] feel like mini bosses.
The devs added that Telepaths typically own an area and has influence over humans in that area and Humans are quite interesting as they are aware of their own slavery to this enemy.
Prey is a first-person shooter in development at Arkane Studios for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
