Asus Radeon RX 580 has to be one of the most awaited RX 580 models and we have a first look a the GPU. Although this GPU has not been officially released or announced yet, it is not surprising that we are getting leaks ahead of launch.
Even the reference design cards have not been announced as of writing this article. Goes to show that there is little that you can keep from people over the internet and things do slip through the cracks here and there ever so often.
Unlike the RX 480 from Asus, the Asus Radeon RX 580 is a 2.5 slot card which means that this GPU has a different cooler. The 580 has a triple fan cooling system unlike the 570 which only comes with dual fans.
This means better cooling and we know that Polaris is already very energy efficient so this should help out as well. As of right now, we do not know about the clock speeds of this GPU but considering how this is a refresh you can expect frequencies close to that of the RX 480.
The Asus Radeon RX 580 features a custom design so we are looking forward to checking out the GPU and the performance that it has to offer as compared to the previous RX 480. You can check out detailed pictures of the GPU here.
As of right now, we do not know when you will be able to buy the Asus Radeon RX 580 but seeing how the series is speculated to be coming out on the 18th of this month you should be able to get it sometime after that.
If you are looking for a budget GPU for gaming as well as VR then this is something that is worth considering.
Let is know what you think about the Asus Radeon RX 580 and whether or not you would buy one.
