Save Custom Game Presets With the New Overwatch Patch
Earlier today, another Overwatch patch was released by Blizzard to mark the official launch of the new Overwatch: Uprising event.
Those who love to enjoy spending time in the custom lobby can now save their custom game settings in the form a preset. This can be done through a new save button on the settings page. In addition, the developer has enabled new custom options to allow changing of the magazine size or grant unlimited ammunition.
The new Overwatch patch also adds the backstory of every hero in the Hero Gallery, along with information about most of their lore-inspired skins. Together, they make for great reading and understanding the roster.
The previously revealed reporting system has finally gone live, but for only PC for the time being. The redesigned system contains new reporting options and clarifications for each of them.
In light of the new Overwatch: Uprising event, Blizzard has enabled the in-game voice conversations to be displayed as subtitles. This feature can be activated by heading into the game’s sound options.
The new tracking system to stop games from ending in ties has also arrived for Assault and Assault/Escort maps. While the community has been pretty critical on the system shortening games, Blizzard believes that future improvements will make the tracking system better.
“This will work similarly to the system that’s already in place for Escort and Assault/Escort maps, which grants a win to the team that pushes the payload the furthest,” reads the developer comments. “Now, even if neither team successfully captures the objective, a winner can be determined based on which team captured the largest portion.”
Patch 1.10 also takes another whack at Lúcio, dialing back on his recent buffs but ensuring that he still retains his versatility.
- Damage increased by 25%.
- Projectile speed increased from 40 to 50.
- Alternate fire now considers vertical orientation when knocking targets back.
- Area of effect radius has been decreased from 30 meters to 10 meters.
- Healing-per-second has been increased by 30% (also applies to Lúcio’s Amp It Up ability).
- Self-healing has been reduced by 25%.
- Movement speed increased by 20% when wall riding.
- Lúcio now receives a burst of speed when leaping off a wall.
The entire patch notes are available on the official website.
