We have seen the PowerColor RX 480 Red Devil and it is one of the most aggressive looking AMD cards that we have seen so far. The same can be said for the new PowerColor RX 580 Red Devil Golden Sample.
There is still little that we know about this GPU but we do know that there is a 2.5 slot PowerColor RX 580 Red Devil Golden Sample version and a more traditional 2 slot PowerColor RX 580 Red Devil version of the GPU.
Seeing how the previous RX 480 only had a single 8-pin power connector it is interesting to see that the PowerColor RX 580 Red Devil Golden Sample needs 8+6 pins. This could mean that the GPU has higher clock speeds or more overclocking headroom but as of right now we cannot confirm the operating frequency of the GPU.
The GPU has a backplate and a very cool looking LED lit logo at the back as well. It will be interesting to see what kind of performance the card offers once it comes out. As of right now, we have no confirmation about the release or the price of the GPU but we will surely find out soon enough.
We have already checked out the Gigabyte lineup of AMD RX 500 series GPUs and now we have this. AMD Vega is also on its way and with the release of Vega AMD will have a proper lineup of GPUs to offer the customers.
AMD will also be releasing the mainstream AMD Ryzen 3 CPUs soon and we will also be taking a look at what kind of performance those GPUs have to offer. AMD Ryzen has been getting good reviews overall and I think the trend will be the same with mainstream CPUs as well.
Let us know what you think about this Red Devil RX 580 and whether or not you are interested in picking one of these up.
