As previously announced, the Tekken 7 Eliza DLC is a pre-order incentive for those interested in securing an early copy of the new fighting installment.
Until now, Bandai Namco never clarified as to whether there were other means to unlock the 1000-year-old vampire. Responding to a query earlier this week, the developer confirmed that the Tekken 7 Eliza DLC will go on sale a month after the official launch of the game. It basically means that pre-ordering ensures a free character, else those interested will have to pay more to expand their rosters.
The news is hardly surprising since that is pretty much the standard way of how pre-order bonuses are handled. It is rare for a publisher to restrict pre-release incentives as exclusive benefits.
Mortal Kombat X, for example, featured Goro as a pre-order character bonus. He too went up for sale after the game was launched. Though, in comparison, Goro arrived later in the game’s life, allowing early adopters to enjoy their decision of paying for the game early.
Those who are still considering to get hold of the Tekken 7 Eliza DLC, the following video might convince you to do so. Eliza will indeed be managing her very own meter, which is likely going to boost some of her attacks and might as well link different setups. However, it’s unknown as to just how the meter will work. It’s possible that she’ll be charging the meter through her blood-sucking abilities. Some fan-crafted theories also link the meter usage to her sleeping tendencies.
Tekken 7 is confirmed for an official release on June 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, a few months later than the previously hinted window of early 2017.
