Cemu is currently working on a new update that will make significant improvements to The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. The team even released a trailer to showcase the improvements that Cemu 1.7.4 will make to the game.
Zelda Breath of the Wild has seen many visual improvements over the past weeks, but this update not only enhances the visuals but also improves features like swimming, magnesis rune, and stasis rune.
The developers have even fixed some lighting and grass issues, and the glitch in which link falls through the floor has also been fixed.
Cemu is a crowd funded emulator for Nintendo Wii U and has a long way to go, but this update is a good step in the forward direction.
This new update 1.7.4 is not currently available to the general publics but players that have made a contribution to Cemu will have a chance to play the test release version.
Previously, this emulator has seen improvements in The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, Super Smash Bros, and Xeno Blade Chronicles X to name a few.
Cemu team has placed its primary focus on fixing all issues for Zelda, so other games might get more updates but they will be small.
Cemu is meant for legal emulation of the Wii U games that the players already owns in order to play them on PC, the team is strictly against piracy. That means in order to play your favorite game you have to dump a physical copy of the game that you own into an SD card, so a lot of work is required.
Gamers that want to play Zelda Breath of the Wild on PC must first buy a copy of the game on the Wii U. The full release of Cemu update 1.7.4 will take place on April 8, 2017, and the team will keep tabs on any known issues this version might have to fix them immediately.
