Agents of Mayhem Trailer Confirms August 2017 Release Date
After a leak earlier today, developer Volition has finally released a new Agents of Mayhem trailer which confirms the August 2017 release date.
Developed by Volition and published by Deep Silver, the same people behind Saints Row, the Agents of Mayhem trailer can be easily viewed as another Saints Row successor, at least in spirit. The game reportedly takes place after “recreate Earth” ending of Saints Row: Gat out of Hell.
Titled Bad vs Evil, the new Agents of Mayhem trailer sets the stage for the game’s main premise. A group of corporate funded, loud mouthed super agents fighting against an evil guy.
Players will be able to take control of a squad of three agents, each with their own unique skills and personalities. Players will be able to switch between the agents at will and the full roster to choose from currently includes 12 characters.
The game itself will take place in a futuristic South Korea and just like previous titles from Volition, will be an open world game played from a third person perspective. A GTA game on steroids if you will.
For the most part, Agents of Mayhem looks a lot similar to Saints Row 4 with its over the top action and the main bad guy.
According to the trailer, the game will be releasing on 15th August in US and 18th in Europe. Since the game was originally announced last year at E3, not a whole lot of gameplay or story information has been revealed yet.
With the official release of a first gameplay and story trailer, the upcoming E3 2017 will most probably be the first time the audience will get an in-depth look at the game before subsequent marketing and the August release, provided it doesn’t get delayed like numerous other games.
Agents of Mayhem will release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch version isn’t out of the question but there is no development being done on it right now.
