Bungie has assured that they will continue their support for Destiny 1, but gamers are not ready to let go of the game in which they have invested so much of their time, and move on to the next one.
Community Manager David Dague says:
Destiny 1 is still a game that will be there for players.
He further added that Bungie will still support the prequel, and is not turning the lights off for Destiny 1. Even with the shinier much the better version on the horizon. Destiny 1 will still be on gamer’s mind and libraries.
If players decide, as they move on to new worlds, to experience new adventures and be told new stories in those spaces if they decide they want to revisit the things that they did in Destiny 1, the game will still be there for them. And, for someone who might join the adventure in progress and they might want to go back to the beginning and discover how it all started? Those origin stories will be waiting for them.
Gamers take pride in their achievements and starting new in a game may sound good to some, but other players attachment with the previous title should be kept in mind as well.
Bungie has assured their continuous support to Destiny 1, but with Destiny 2 hot on the internet recently Destiny 1 can get side tracked. It is clear they will not be able to concentrate as much as they did in the past and with modern gaming trends changing so fast, assuring their support is no sure promise.
Bungie might continue their support to this veteran title as they claim, But the question is, how much support will they be able to provide it?
