New Update Causes Zelda Breath Of The Wild To Get Increased Frame rates
Good news, Playing Zelda Breath of the Wild will be more comfortable on Nintendo Switch in docked mode. Nintendo has released a patch that dramatically increases the frame rate when the game is played in docked mode.
Previously, Zelda had bad performance when console switched to docked mode because of the resolution, this conversion causes the framerate to suffer as it took a toll on both the software and hardware.
Nintendo wrote on its official page that
Adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience
However, they did not provide any more details as to what has actually been changed.
There are still some specific areas that still cause the frame rate to stutter a bit, especially the high-density areas but overall the game stays on a stable 30fps throughout.
A video has also been released that showcase the changes that have been made from update version 1.1.0 to 1.1.1, the game looks more stable with the new update.
As for players that have not updated Zelda Breath of the Wild, well I suggest that you stay out of these high-density areas most likely the grasslands, otherwise update your game to have a better experience on a bigger screen.
There is no point in having Nintendo Switch if you are not going to use it as both a handheld and docked console, and shifting from one mode to another is what makes the Switch special.
Zelda Breath of the Wild is by far the biggest and most iconic game available on the Switch, So Nintendo did a good job in making docked version more comfortable.
They should focus more on the frame rate so the areas that still cause the framerate to drop will also be fixed.
So what more changes or updates should Nintendo make for the Switch? Tell us in the comments below
