For Honor Update Increases Overall Steel Income on All Matches
In the wake of recent criticism over high pricing of items, Ubisoft is bringing out a new For Honor Update today that addresses the overall Steel income.
Clearly, the developer is not interested in slashing the price tags in the shop. However, it has listened to feedback from the community. The upcoming For Honor Update increases the daily income of Steel by almost 45 percent.
- All matches Steel income are increased by 25 percent
- Daily Orders Steel income are increased by 33 percent
- Side Orders Steel income are increased by 50 percent
- For Honor Community Orders Steel rewards are increased from 500-1000 to 2000 Steel
The changes are across the board and affect all three platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The increased income rates should help players to amass more currency in relatively less time.
Previously, the community was pretty angry over the fact that it would take almost 2.5 years to earn enough Steel in order to unlock everything in the shop. With the new changes, Ubisoft has brought the grinding time down by less than half.
Last week, game director Damien Kieken explained that the high pricing of items in the shop is by design. For Honor was never meant to have players unlock everything in the game. In that light, the developer wants the player-base to stop comparing the game with Rainbow Six Siege, which follows a similar but cheaper business model.
Besides the increased overall income, the latest For Honor Update also brings a dozen new Elite Outfits for players to choose from. The new cosmetic items are themed per Faction, which are as follows:
- The Battlefield Chic Outfits for the Knights
- The Death Ravens Outfits for the Vikings
- The Death Blossoms Outfits for the Samurai
Ubisoft is also compensating players for the recent online service outage by bestowing everyone with a three-day Champion Status.
In order to offer better communication and updates to the community, the development team will be hosting a weekly “This Week in For Honor” segment to talk about current and upcoming changes.
Starting today, "This Week in For Honor" will give you weekly updates straight from the For Honor team: https://t.co/wxfxUgy7XC
