With the conclusion of spring tournament of Super Smash Bros for Wii U, 2GGaming has announced the summer season finale which is titled 2GGC Nairo Saga.
This event will showcase the world’s greatest Samus players, and see if they can earn a spot in the 2GG Championship which will take place at the end of the year.
The event will be held in its usual venue the Esports Arena in Santa Ana, california, on June 10 and 11, 2017. The top 8 contenders will gain a spot in the championship. Some of the players that are currently on top include RNG|Dabuz, because of his victory at Civil War, then TSM|ZeRo in second and FS|Fatality in third.
Civil war was a terrible weekend for some Smash players, Dabuz was the only player to make it to Civil War’s top 8, the field was filled with Japan’s top tier players, Link and donkey kong were considered lower tier characters, but fans were surprised to see these characters taking players like T, and Hikaru to the top 8 positions.
Most of our fans that do not know what this fuss is all about, and what is this 2GG Championship? Let me break it down for you.
It is a circuit tournament for Super Smash Bros for Wii U, that usually takes place in Esports Arena, in California. A tournament is held each month of the year, and the top players get a chance to compete in the 2GG Championship at the end of the year.
There is a prize of course for the final tournament worth $100,000, player that win any tournament of the series get qualified for the championship, other players may also qualify by earning points in the circuit tournaments.
Three tournaments are considered season finales, which include 2GGC Civil War, 2GGC Nairo Saga, and 2GGC September Saga.
So now you know what we were talking about earlier, it is a tournament in which you beat other players, and if you are good enough you might qualify for the finals, and win $100,000 prize. Pretty simple right!
