Persona 5 owners will not be able to share their photos and gameplay clips for the game as developer Atlus has disabled the PS4 share option for it.
Atlus confirmed to Polygon that they have indeed disabled the PS4 share functionality for Persona 5 because of the single-player nature of the game.
This being a Japanese title with solely a single-playthrough story means Japan is very wary about it. Sharing is currently blocked through the native PS4 UI.
When asked if the PS4 Share Functionality will be enabled once the game is available worldwide, to this Atlus said that this functionality will continue to be blocked.
It is very rare for developers to completely disable the PS4 Share functionality, however, there are games in the market that don’t allow capturing certain parts of the game. Disabling this feature has forced players to take pictures through their phones and then share them with friends.
Persona 5 is an RPG video game developed by Atlus and is scheduled to launch on April 4 worldwide exclusively for PlayStation 4.
