New Injustice 2 Trailer Reveals Captain Cold and Scarecrow, Starring Gorilla Grodd and Bane

By   /   Mar 30, 2017

A new Injustice 2 trailer has been released that features Gorilla Grodd & Bane. Titled “it’s Good To Be Bad”, this trailer reveals Captain Cold and Scarecrow. It also showcases their moves and gives us a taste of what is to come.

Captain Cold is a super villain and leader of the “Rogues”, a loose criminal association. He is an adversary to the Flash and is just as humorous in nature, he has no superpowers unlike many villains but he carries a freeze gun.

He gets ice powers later on but that part is not revealed in the trailer, so we will stick with the eskimo guy with the ice gun.

Apart from Captain Cold, this trailer features Scarecrow, who is an adversary to Batman and is complete opposite to Captain Cold as he is more horror inspired character, his biggest power is fear and he likes to feed on it.

Scarecrow, first appeared back in 1941 and is depicted as a professor of psychology in Gotham City who uses a variety of fear-enhancing chemical agents to exploit the fears and phobias of his adversaries.

This trailer also features Wonder Woman, Flash, Harley Quinn, Green lantern, but they are just dummies present to take a beating from the showcased characters.

Revealing these characters together with Grodd and Bane is an apparent hint of the super villain alliance. I personally think adding Captain Cold in Injustice 2 is a good decision, it will give us a break from the usual dark apocalyptic tone of the game.

Revealing these two characters in Injustice 2 trailer made sense, where one tries too hard and fight heroes that are way out of his league like Superman, Supergirl and Wonderwoman, and the other one just rips’em all apart.

Their difference in class is clear Scarecrow is definitely an A class villain, whereas Captain Cold is a decent B or C class.

Injustice 2 is set to release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16, 2017. So we still have to wait 2 months to try these characters for ourselves.
