Ubisoft Will Offer More Free Content With Watch Dogs 2 No Compromise DLC

Ubisoft, has announced its plans for the upcoming updates and changes for Watch Dogs 2 No Compromise DLC, which will include more multiplayer content for free. The DLC will no longer include the multiplayer Showdown mode, which features a 2v2 challenge for experienced players, this mode will be released as free content, and will be accessible to all.

Ubisoft, stated about the Showdown mode in a blog post

Its competitive matches come in three flavors: Steal the HDD; Doomload, a King of the Hill-style match; and Erase/Protect the Servers, a Watch Dogs twist on classic domination matches. Spread out across 15 distinct locations, these modes will flow seamlessly from one to the next, pushing you to bust out every skill you’ve learned over the course of the game with dynamic hacking, shooting, driving, and puzzle-solving challenges.

Watch Dogs 2, producer Kris Young, explained that they wanter all players to enjoy it which is one of the reasons for moving Showdown mode from premium DLC to free content

The first is that we want everyone to be able to participate and play it. We really wanted to have as many people as possible playing the mode for a better challenge, better matchmaking time and quality, and a healthier, more active community.

The other is community feedback we’ve received since we announced the original plans. Our community asked for more multiplayer content, and that’s also a reason why we’ve decided to make Showdown accessible for free for all players.

This free update will be coming on 17 April 2017 on all platforms, this will also feature a truck challenge event, where you take over an armored truck, and fight off enemies, more updates will be coming in the next few months.

One update that is expected in June 2017, will allow four players to explore the city and take part in activities together, and to make up for removing Showdown from the DLC, more single-player content will be added.

Watch Dogs 2 No Compromise DLC will be available on 18 April on PS4, 18 May on Xbox One, and PC, In this DLC new outfits will be available, that will let Marcus, affect NPC behaviour, and do previously impossible things, further details will be shared during the live stream on 13 April.
