Blizzard Unveils Overwatch Widowmaker Collectible Statue

Fans of the purple-skinned female sniper now have the option to spend $150 to place a new Overwatch Widowmaker collectible statue in their shelves.

She is hand-sculpted and hand-painted by Blizzard with care and precision, boasting incredible details that include her tattoos and bodysuit. Standing at 13.5 inches, the Overwatch Widowmaker collectible statue comes with her signature sniper rifle and original skin. She is amazing to look at and the perfect companion for Overwatch fans.

Blizzard has opened up pre-orders for the statue but will be limiting its sale to just two for each customer. The decision is to ensure that a single third-party retailer or user does not abuse the opportunity to horde units. This way, more users have the chance of confirming an order. That being said, it is with certitude that we will still see the statue end up on eBay for exorbitant amounts of money.

Delivery is scheduled “before the end of Q3” which puts it sometime after July.

The new Overwatch Widowmaker collectible statue is the third in the series, following previous inclusions of Tracer and Reaper. All three are priced at $150 each and are just as beautiful and detailed. The Tracer statute was the first to enter production and sold out pretty fast. The Reaper statutes also saw great success but Blizzard still has a few units left in stock.

The Overwatch Widowmaker collectible statue also marks the opening of a new official online store called Blizzard Collectibles. As evident from the name, the video game publisher and developer will be using the store to sell premium statues, replicas, and artwork designed by its employees.

“We tend to go all-in when it comes to representing the things we’re passionate about in our work, and that’s exactly what we’re doing with this new line of high-end statues, replicas, and artwork,” said Matthew Beecher, vice president of global consumer products at Blizzard Entertainment. “Our goal with Blizzard Collectibles is to produce pieces of art that capture the personality of our games, and we’re excited to share these premium items with gamers and collectors worldwide.”

Besides Overwatch, the store currently features an Illidan and Grommash Hellscream statue for $350 each. Blizzard plans to announce more collectibles later this year.
