Everyone Wants to Know Red Dead Redemption 2 Release Date, Polish Retailer is the New Probable Source

At the moment of writing, we don’t have any specific information on the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date, besides the fact that the game will be launching in Fall 2017.

We’ve already heard some rumors before, and now we have another one.

As a matter of fact, Polish retailer MediaMarkt has leaked the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date via listing on the website, claiming that the game will be available from October 3rd, 2017.

MediaMarkt has then been emailed to talk about the date, and has stated that it was the game’s distributor the one who has informed the store of the launch date.

Here’s a translation of the MediaMarkt message posted on Reddit by user Adakam8323 (courtesy of Gamesradar):

I would like to inform you that our marketing department was informed by the distributor of the game that its airing date is 3rd of october 2017

After the email got viral, MediaMarkt has quickly removed the launch date claiming it was an error.

Well, the whole question seems strange. Maybe the retailer is trying to make amends, maybe it really was a mistake. Only time will tell.

Some of the rumors regarding the Red Dead Redemption 2 include:

  • This game might be a prequel to the first Red Dead Redemption.
  • Actor Matt Bradford, known for his role in The Last Ride, might be part of the video game.
  • In this game there might be three protagonists, just like GTA V.
  • A Nintendo Switch version of the game won’t be definitively releasing.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an open world action-adventure by Rockstar Games, and will launch this Fall for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
