Battlefest Returns to Battlefield 1 This Week, Prepare for “Few Surprises”
Battlefest, a community event designed to celebrate the popular military franchise, is confirmed to be returning this week for Battlefield 1.
While the week-long series of activities will center around the latest installment, there will also be several reasons for both Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline to be excited about.
“Keep your eyes open,” reads an announcement. “On March 30, we’ll unleash the DICE 25th Anniversary Battlefest filled with giveaway, missions, and a few surprises for our fans.”

Details are unavailable at this point. Taking into account that the event is scheduled to commence in just a few days, we expect DICE to roll out information either later today or tomorrow.
Expect unique content limited to the event, such as exclusive Dog Tags, weapon skins, and new custom game modes. There is also the chance that the developer will activate an experience boost for everyone while the event runs.
“It’s a week-long celebration of the Battlefield franchise that will be packed with new activities, including log-in rewards, a livestream, a unique Battlepack revision, community missions, and much more.”
This will be the second Battlefest for Battlefield 1, the last one running in November just after the game’s release. It featured a unique Battlepack revision for the duration of the event that rewarded players with the Hutier weapon skin which had “PTFO” scratched into the stock. As for owners of Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline, they were able to unlock the M1911 Incarcerator weapon skin by completing special multiplayer missions.
It should also be recalled that DICE introduced both the Fog of War and Hardcore game modes during the last Battlefest session. Their high popularity forced the developer to bring back the modes multiple times despite there being no special events. In that light, one of the few surprises being teased might as well be a new game mode for Battlefield 1.
