Zelda: Breath of the Wild PC Emulator Reaches $23,000 in Crowdfunding
Breath of the Wild is the latest Zelda game and it has got a lot of success and has also given the Nintendo Switch a lot of success in the process.
But the game has not been released for PC or other platforms besides Wii U and Nintendo Switch.
If you were hoping for a Breath of the Wild PC Emulator then the good news is that there is something in the works and as of right now it is being crowdfunded. The group behind the project is the same team behind CEMU Wii U emulation software.
The project has just reached $23,000 in crowdfunding and it has been getting a lot of attention in the past few days. The project is in development but the developers have given a small progress video on the crowdfunding page in order to motivate new backers to join in.
As of right now there has been no response from Nintendo, which is an unusual behavior from the company. Nintendo is very strict when it comes to the company’s IPs and could shut this project down in the future.
It is also possible that the company will not bother with it at all. This is something only time will tell.
As of right now we do not know when the Breath of the Wild PC emulator will be completed but one thing is for sure, it has a huge amount of funding behind it and this number will increase with time. There might be hope for Breath of the Wild on PC but you should not expect too much.
It is possible that Nintendo is simply waiting for this to become a reality before taking any kind of legal action against the project and I am sure that backers will be upset if this project is shut down.
Let us know if you would like to see this Breath of the Wild PC emulator become a reality.
