Reggie Fils-Aime: Nintendo Going To Have A Big E3 This Year, New Content For Nintendo Switch And 3DS
Reggie Fils-Aime said that Nintendo will have a big E3 this year and that there will be new content for the Nintendo Switch as well as the 3DS. It seems that Nintendo is serious about keeping these two platforms separate, even though there are people that think otherwise.
According to Reggie Fils-Aime:
E3 is always a big time for Nintendo. We look at each E3 as a unique opportunity to tell our story. And we’re gonna have a big E3 this year.
I cannot say that I am surprised. This was bound to be something down the line and a confirmation is just what I needed. Every new console needs a good lineup of games and the Nintendo Switch does not have that at the moment. The company will need to announce some major games in order to make the Nintendo Switch successful in the long run.
We’re going to be showcasing a variety of games. We will have experiences for… consumers will be able to attend the show for the very first time. So I’m not gonna tell you all of the various games and all of our little secrets for E3, but I can tell you that E3 is going to be a major opportunity for us to showcase not only Nintendo Switch, but also content coming to Nintendo 3DS.
It will be interesting to see what Nintendo has had planned for the Nintendo Switch. The launch has been great but most will tell you that it was because of the new Zelda game. Nintendo will need to get some more titles out there in order to keep the momentum going.
Every day we’re setting new records – from a US perspective – meaning today I can look back and see how I compare to the launch of the Wii, or the Nintendo DS, or the Nintendo 3DS, and I’m setting sales records every day with the Nintendo Switch.
There is no doubt that the Nintendo Switch has been getting a lot of love. This announcement will be good news for owners of the device and people that are about to buy one.
Let us know what you think about the games that are available on the Nintendo Switch and which games you would like to see at E3.
